From Belgium to Southern-Italy?

Hello,First of all, sorry for writing in English to this all-Italian website. I hope it doesn't stop you from reading further.I'm a percussionist from Belgium and among others busy with making and playing tambourines (and using them in what we call "pan-european" folk music). The last years tarantella caught my attention and now I'm planning a trip to South-Italy (Napels, Lecce, Taranto,...) to see and hear it myself. I'm planning to come over from the 3th of april till the 10th of april. Is there anyone who can give me some tips about events (concerts, workshops, ...) during that period? I just want to absorb as much information/practice/lessons/listening/looking as possible in those ten days. Any information is more then welcome! For anyone who's interested in teaching me some tambourine techniques, I'm always willing to teach Brazilian pandeiro for anyone who's interested... Hi Joe! I really think you've chosen a rather boring period to come on fieldwork in southern Italy. You should consider at least to come  back in summer to cover significantly both Campania and Puglia (too broad task for a single week). There you'could enjoy a lot of musical events, workshops and stuff. Besides, pizzica and related dances have a seasonal recurrence even in their modern versions. Finding some good workshop during Easter Holiday is going to be very difficult I think, unless of course you are lucky enough to receive an answer from a decent instructor. But I think English is not exactly their cup of tea...exception made for the singer Cinzia Villani (she's worth the effort to look for her!) who knows English (and maybe French). In any case, if this is the only period in which you can afford to come, as you can see in the Concerti&Eventi section there is always something goin'on. But arranging a good, serious session of study takes more time, anyway...that walkie-talkie aunt of mine could have some news. I'll let you know.All the bestIdrusaP.S. I agree with Idrusa about the practice time required to learn properly a traditional tambourine technique. Not to mention there are few dozens of them including technique variations on the same rhythmic structure.
Anyway, if you want to get a taste of south Italian tambourine there is a very interesting workshop in the Gargano which covers many aspects of south italian tradition, including tambourine, exactly during your vacation time.

Hello,Thanks for the answers so far. I know it will take some more time then a week to master the techniques, but you have to start somewhere. And I experienced that the best way to learn about music is to go and look to the place where it's played. Summertime is difficult for me to come, because also in Belgium there are a lot of festivals and places to play, so that's a busy period. Maybe next year.
